If a devoted Christian sinned but then died before he could repent his sin, what would happen?

I am a Christian and we believe that you get a final chance for repent in The Final Judgement. But you cannot sin and at the moment of The Final Judgement, just ask for forgiveness, for we see that as hypocrism and God frowns upon hypocrism. But yes, if you are truly sorry for the people you hurt, God will forgive as he is a forgiving God.
