Good start to an essay? (Sopre level)?
In Julius Caesar, we follow the story of a heroic Roman’s rise amidst the vast number of Roman plebeians. Shakespeare portrays an underlying tone pertaining to an instinctive human nature as Caesar quickly rises through the ranks of Rome, only to come to an abrupt downfall when a plotting group of conspirators rip his success from him. Among the twenty-three historically listed members of the conspiracy, was Caesar’s beloved best friend Brutus. Throughout the play, Brutus is battling with an internal conflict involving his hubris, and his royalty to his greatest ally. Brutus’ actions, and the path he paves will eventually solidify him as a tragic hero.
