Christians, what do you think about Deuteronomy 13:7-12?

People who go to war kill, because their government tells them to do so, and they don't hesitate in doing so. On the other hand Jehovah through Jesus tells us to love our enemies, not kill them. Jesus sacrifice did away with the old law. John 13:35
