Gaza deaths, was giving AID to the Palestinians a main priority?

For the people who attacked the Israeli soldiers, making a political statement was the goal. Probably there were many other sympathetic people who were sincere and not part of a political plot. But I think the videos were not expected and because of what they show, the activist's plan has backfired.
