When women do the "pelvic tilt" signal is it conscious or unconscious?

Im guessing it is subconscious since Ive never done it on purpose nor heard another woman talking about how she has done it on purpose. I know I read with I was young that you will face the person you like so I tend to try not to face people I dont like just so I dont give them the wrong impression.
