Ehat are some different poetic ways to say 'the snow was on the pine trees'?

I was thinking something alobg the lines of 'the white powder resting on the only thing green' or some thing like that (it would be good to use personification, alliteration, hyperbole, simile, and other poetic divices. Thanks for the help:)
