How do deal with a colic baby?

my son J.J is 4 months months old. I have tried everything to get his colic undercontrol. I have tried fennel tea, soft music and sometimes just let him be.... he is up all hours of the night and day. It got sooo bad, I have even tried to knock him out... I need any advice I canget...please help!!!
